Lydia and James were married at Sandhole Oak Barn near Congleton in the Spring. The barn overlooks a pretty lake, which provides a stunning backdrop for any wedding. There are plenty of places around the venue for photographs and the wedding video. The decking area overlooking the lake is lined with pretty flower filled pots. There is also a gazebo and patio area, which is perfect for family group shots after the ceremony.
It was a pleasure to be picked to film the wedding video of the day for the pair who wanted a natural style of videography. I was filming at the wedding from the bridal preparations until the first dance so I was able to capture the whole day for the couple on video. My wedding video style is unobtrusive. I don’t tend to direct anyone during the filming so that everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. Sometimes, they even forget that I’m there! It means that the wedding video is natural and not staged.
The bridal prep took place in the Granary, which is right next to the barn itself, where the ceremony takes place. It makes it the perfect place for a wedding, as everything is so accessible.
Here is an image of Lydia’s gorgeous wedding dress. I filmed lots of shots of this and the other details for the wedding video.
The photographer on the day was Martin Pawlett Photography, who was there for the entire day. He also has a natural, documentary style so we worked very well together throughout the day.
Top Table Events
Top Table events co-ordinated the wedding at Sandhole. I have worked with Top Table on many occasions and they always provide a top service. They catered the event, which was delicious. I filmed a taster evening for Top Table in 2014, which you can view here.
